The journey of creating Luzern kitchen utensils began in April 2017 and lasted until July 2017 in Hong Kong. The project focused on designing one-piece utensils that would be both stiff and ergonomic. While metal would have been the obvious choice, the goal was to create a budget-friendly line of utensils. To achieve this, the designer, Andrea Ragazzo, had to think outside the box.

By reinforcing standard PP material with glass filler, Ragazzo was able to achieve the desired stiffness while maintaining excellent ergonomics. The injection-molded, glass-fiber reinforced PP material used in the manufacturing process ensured the durability and longevity of the utensils. With dimensions of 325 x 110 x 95mm and weighing between 38 and 58g, Luzern utensils strike the perfect balance between functionality and convenience.
